DESCRIPTION:This will be the 71st running of this time honoured tournament. \nThe Shield was an initiative by Bowls Victoria and RSL Victoria to support and help those servicemen who served in WW2. It was then a wonderful opportunity for those servicemen to enjoy friendship and camaraderie in a friendly sporting environment. That is still the same ethos today and the tournament is stronger than ever. \nIt is a team event played across 16 centres with over 1700 players competing.
