Functions Coordinator

An opportunity exists for the position of Functions Coordinator at the Tocumwal Golf & Bowls Club.

The Functions Coordinator is responsible for organising and running various club events, including supervising function staff and ensuring that events are set up on time, run smoothly and meet the client’s expectations.

The successful applicant will possess;

  • Experience working in hospitality or Functions role
  • The ability to communicate to and lead people at all levels
  • Strong organisational and communication abilities
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office Programs
  • The ability to multi-task and work flexible hours
  • A Strong customer service focus
  • Be able to convert initial enquiries into confirmed bookings
  • Be able to oversee the Function operations
  • An eye for detail and creative flair
  • Be flexible to work a variety of shifts/days including weekends and evenings
  • Hold a current RSA & RCG Competency card or the ability to obtain one.

Duties of the role include:

  • Selling, organising, and executing functions and club events
  • Coordinating the day-to-day function activities
  • Responding to customer enquiries in a timely manner
  • The setup and taking down of Functions and Events
  • Coordinate staff to ensure the program of Events occurs on time
  • Ensure correct standards and procedures concerning service during functions are adhered to
  • Administration; invoicing functions, reporting, creating function running plans, etc.

This role would be suitable for an industry professional or enterprising person looking to take the next step in their career.

This position will be Full time and remuneration will be in accordance with the Registered & Licensed Clubs Award 2010.

Bar | Café | Kitchen
Opportunities exist for positive, energetic and reliable people to join our Clubhouse staff team. Depending on qualifications, positions vacant are Bar, Kitchen & Café.


A NSW RSA is a requirement to work in our bar. (Free Tafe course at present)

A NSW RCG would be an advantage.


Apprentice Chef
The successful applicant would be a highly motivated individual looking to establish a career in as a chef, in one of the most vibrant clubs on the Murray River.

A strong work ethic is required, as is a positive outlook and a willingness to contribute to a team environment.

This is a full time position, and includes standard Tafe training.


Positions are paid in accordance with the Registered & Licensed Clubs Award 2010.
